Frequently Asked Questions
What does one shared toner SKU do for a site with several ADVANCE machines?
It removes a whole category of small failures. A site running an imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4025 in one office, a 4045 in another and a 4245 down the hall stocks exactly one black cartridge: the GPR-42, part number 4791B003AA. Any cartridge in this 5-pack fits any of those machines, so a call for toner is answered from the same shelf in minutes, and purchasing consolidates into a single line with a single reorder point.
How does the 5-pack pricing compare with buying singly?
The pack is $339.37 — $67.87 per cartridge against $82.66 one at a time, saving $73.93 across the five. Per page, that is roughly 0.20 cents at the rated 34,200-page yield, across 171,000 pages of total capacity. For a multi-machine site, that saving recurs every cycle, and the consolidated ordering saves staff time on top of it.
Exactly which machines does this pack cover?
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4025, 4035, 4045, 4051 and 4245 — every cartridge in the pack is a Canon GPR-42 (4791B003AA) for those models. One boundary worth knowing: the ADVANCE 4225, despite the similar name, takes the GPR-43 family, so a site running both should stock the two families separately and label the shelves clearly.
How should a multi-site or multi-office stock be organized?
Centralize it. One stock point, cartridges stored sealed and flat, issued oldest-first with the arrival month marked on each box. Splitting a 5-pack across three closets recreates the invisibility problem the pack was meant to solve — nobody knows the true count, and every site reorders on its own. One shelf, one count, one reorder point.
What happens if a cartridge from the pack fails in one of the machines?
It is covered individually, wherever it was installed: a 1-year warranty against defects and 1-year free returns if it does not perform as it should. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page, and our support team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want help confirming the cartridge — rather than the machine — is at fault.
When would a site be better off with the 3-pack instead?
When the fleet is small or changing. One machine, or machines due for replacement within the year, will not reliably consume 171,000 pages of this family's toner, and stranded cartridges fit nothing else. Stable multi-machine sites should take the 5-pack price without hesitation; sites mid-transition should keep the shorter commitment. The family range is on our Canon toner page.
