Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a 5-pack of a 34,200-page cartridge actually for?
Departments and sites whose meter readings say so. Five GPR-42 cartridges (part number 4791B003AA) hold 171,000 pages. A pair of imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4035 machines at 6,000 pages a month each will turn this pack over in a little over a year; a single lighter machine would take far longer, and for that buyer the 3-pack is the honest recommendation. This pack size exists for verified volume, not for optimism.
What does the math look like per cartridge and per page?
$339.37 for the pack is $67.87 per cartridge, against $82.66 bought singly — $73.93 saved across the five. At the rated 34,200-page yield, the per-page toner cost lands at roughly 0.20 cents, down from about 0.24 cents on singles. On a chargeback rate sheet, that difference is small per copy and material per quarter.
This "Premium" listing costs the same $339.37 as the standard 5-pack. Which one should we order?
Either — and here is the unvarnished reason. Both listings are the same GPR-42 cartridge with the same 34,200-page rating, the same part number 4791B003AA, at the same price, covered by the same 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. We will not pretend a word in a title changes what is in the box. Pick whichever listing you are on; what you receive and what stands behind it are identical.
Which machines run on these cartridges?
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4025, 4035, 4045, 4051 and 4245. If your machine's supply list shows GPR-42 or 4791B003AA, any cartridge in this pack is correct for it. Keep it separate from the GPR-43 used by the ADVANCE 4225 — similar shelf, similar box, different cartridge.
What coverage stands behind the pack?
Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty against defects and 1-year free returns if it does not perform as it should — pack pricing does not dilute per-cartridge protection. Full terms are on our shipping and returns page, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
How should five cartridges be stored so the last one is as good as the first?
Sealed in their bags, lying flat, in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight, and installed in arrival order — mark the month on each box when the pack lands. Stored that way, a cartridge waits without complaint. The discipline that matters is rotation, and it costs nothing but a marker. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California; the rest of the family is on our Canon toner page.
