Frequently Asked Questions
Who still orders fax toner five cartridges at a time?
Offices where fax is not a relic but a working channel — the kind of operation running several LaserClass machines on dedicated lines, where a cartridge ending mid-week is an operational problem, not an inconvenience. For them the question is never whether to stock FX-7, only how deep the shelf should be. Five cartridges is the deep-shelf answer.
What is the saving against buying one at a time?
Five singles would cost $279.90. This pack is $205.95 — $41.19 per cartridge, a saving of $73.95 — and the per-page cost comes down from about 1.24 cents to roughly 0.92 cents across 22,500 total pages. It is the lowest figure the FX-7 (7621A001AA) reaches in this range.
Can the pack be split across machines?
Freely. The Canon LaserClass 710, 720, 720i and 730 all use the same FX-7 cartridge, so the five can be distributed however the fleet needs them — three to the busy unit, one each to the quiet ones — with no compatibility bookkeeping.
Our fax volume is shrinking year by year — is this pack a mistake?
It might be, and your meter history will tell you. Add up the pages your machines handled in the last twelve months: if the total is well under 22,500 and falling, the 3 pack is the more honest purchase. This 5 pack earns its price only when the volume is really there to consume it.
How should five cartridges be stored?
Sealed, flat, in a cool dry cabinet, marked with the arrival month and used in order. Fax toner turns over slowly, so the last cartridge may wait a long while — that wait is harmless as long as the bag stays sealed and the storage stays away from heat and damp.
What cover applies across the pack?
Each cartridge has its own 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
