Frequently Asked Questions

Who honestly goes through five cartridges and 10,000 pages?

A shared department machine does, faster than most offices expect. One Canon 104 multifunction serving a workgroup — copying, faxing and printing for several people — can finish a 2,000-page cartridge in a month. Five cartridges is that machine's next five months, bought in one order, with no mid-quarter scramble when the shelf turns out to be empty.

What is the saving against buying five singles?

Five single cartridges cost $131.25 bought one at a time. This pack is $57.30 — $11.46 per cartridge — a saving of $73.95, and it brings the running cost to roughly 0.57 cents per page against about 1.31 cents for the single. Same 2,000-page cartridge each time; the math is the entire argument for the pack.

Can this pack be split across several machines or locations?

Yes — every cartridge is individually sealed, so the box divides however your office is laid out: two for the main machine, one each for three satellite desks, or stock split between two sites that both run 104 machines. Each cartridge keeps its own coverage regardless of where it ends up installed.

Which Canon printers does this cartridge fit?

Every cartridge in the pack is the Canon 104 design for Canon imageCLASS and FAXPHONE printers that use the Canon 104 cartridge. That platform covers the imageCLASS multifunction and single-function machines in this class plus the FAXPHONE models, all sharing one cartridge — which is exactly why a bulk box like this can serve a whole mixed fleet from a single shelf.

How do I store five cartridges so the last one is as good as the first?

Sealed, flat, cool and dry, out of direct sun. Date each box on arrival and work strictly front to back, oldest first. A compatible cartridge stored sealed holds up well over the months a pack like this takes to use, but rotation is what makes that a certainty rather than a hope. Never store an opened cartridge as a spare — opened means installed and used.

What if one cartridge in the five turns out to be faulty?

It is dealt with alone. Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in its own right, so a single bad unit is replaced or returned without touching the other four or pausing your supply. See our shipping and returns page for the full terms, or call us Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
