Frequently Asked Questions

Does this cartridge care which tray the paper comes from?

No. The HL-5470DWT's twin trays — typically Letter in one, Legal in the other — differ only in paper handling. Both feed the same print engine and the same toner cartridge, so one TN750 serves every tray, every size, every job. A legal-size contract run draws on exactly the same 8,000-page supply as a letter-size memo run.

How far does 8,000 pages go in a letter-and-legal mixed practice?

Page count, not paper size, is the measure: a 30-page closing packet counts as 30 pages whether it is Letter or Legal. At a mixed 1,200 pages a month, one $33.59 cartridge runs about six to seven months — roughly 0.42 cents of toner per page regardless of which tray fed it.

Which printers take this cartridge?

All Brother models built on this toner and drum platform: DCP-8110DN, DCP-8150DN, DCP-8155DN, HL-5440D, HL-5450DN, HL-5470DW, HL-5470DWT, HL-6180DW, HL-6180DWT, MFC-8510DN, MFC-8710DW, MFC-8810DW, MFC-8910DW and MFC-8950DW. The DWT's twin-tray hardware is unique to it, but its cartridge is shared across the family.

Why is the high-yield the natural match for a twin-tray machine?

Because twin trays signal sustained, varied volume — the workload the TN750 was made for. The standard TN720 fits too, but at 3,000 pages and the same $33.59 price here, it would interrupt that workflow nearly three times as often. High-yield toner and high-capacity paper handling belong together.

What wears out besides toner on a machine like this?

The drum, on its own slower schedule: the DR720 is rated at 12,000 pages and costs $41.78. It is independent of the trays and of the toner — the printer tracks its life separately and warns before print quality is affected.

What backs this cartridge in a professional office?

A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns on every unit, detailed on our shipping & returns page. Shipments leave IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses and support answers 9 AM–5 PM CST — cover sized for offices where a stalled printer stalls billable work.

About This TN750 Cartridge for the HL-5470DWT

The HL-5470DWT exists for offices that print on two paper sizes all day, and its consumable should be as unglamorous and dependable as its trays. This TN750 delivers 8,000 pages at about 0.42 cents each for $33.59, indifferent to which tray fed the job. Practices with heavier flow usually hold the 2-pack as their working spare. The rest of the platform's supplies are gathered in our Brother catalogue.
