Frequently Asked Questions

Does swapping this cartridge in disturb my wireless setup?

Not at all. Toner and networking live in completely separate parts of the HL-5470DW — changing the cartridge touches nothing in the Wi-Fi configuration, drivers or print queues. Open the front cover, exchange the cartridge in its drum assembly, close up, and every laptop and phone on the network prints exactly as before.

How quick is the changeover for a home-office professional?

About two minutes, with no tools and no mess ritual: the spent cartridge lifts out of the drum unit on a green lever, the new TN750 rocks gently side to side to level its toner, sheds its protective cover and clicks into place. At 8,000 pages per cartridge, it is also a rare event — most home offices do this once a year or less.

Which machines does this cartridge fit?

The Brother models designed around this toner platform: DCP-8110DN, DCP-8150DN, DCP-8155DN, HL-5440D, HL-5450DN, HL-5470DW, HL-5470DWT, HL-6180DW, HL-6180DWT, MFC-8510DN, MFC-8710DW, MFC-8810DW, MFC-8910DW and MFC-8950DW. This page addresses HL-5470DW owners specifically; the cartridge itself is shared across the list.

What does home-office printing cost per page with it?

Around 0.42 cents in toner — $33.59 across an 8,000-page rating. For context, the standard TN720 that also fits this printer holds 3,000 pages and costs the same $33.59 here, so the high-yield TN750 cuts both cost per page and ordering frequency by well over half.

Anything else in the printer I should expect to replace?

Eventually the drum — a separate unit, the DR720, rated at 12,000 pages and priced at $41.78. It has its own counter and its own on-screen warning, and it does not need changing when the toner does. For most home offices it is a rare, planned purchase rather than a surprise.

What protection comes with a compatible cartridge?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with full terms on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support is available 9 AM–5 PM CST — set it up once and you are covered for the cartridge's whole working life.

About This TN750 Cartridge for the HL-5470DW

The HL-5470DW is the home-office professional's printer: fast, wireless, and expected to simply work between everything else on the desk. This TN750 respects that setup — a two-minute swap that leaves every connection untouched, then up to 8,000 pages at roughly 0.42 cents each before it asks for anything again. One cartridge at $33.59 suits most home volumes; heavier users take the 2-pack at $48.68 and forget about toner for a very long stretch. More for this platform: our Brother range.
