Frequently Asked Questions

From an admin's seat, when is the right moment to reorder for a networked HL-5450DN?

When the spare goes in — not when the warning light appears. A networked printer's consumption is lumpy: quiet weeks, then a 900-page reporting run. The TN750's 8,000-page capacity smooths most of that, but the robust policy is a one-cartridge buffer with reorder-on-install. Delivery from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses takes a few business days, which the buffer absorbs entirely.

Which pack size suits an office that buys centrally?

Match the pack to your reorder appetite: 2-pack $48.68, 3-pack $63.78, 4-pack $78.88, 5-pack $93.98, all the same cartridge. Per-unit cost falls from $33.59 (single) to $18.80 in the 5-pack. A department going through a cartridge a month saves real money annually on the 4- or 5-pack while raising the buffer from one spare to several.

Which printers in our fleet can draw from the same toner stock?

All Brother models on this toner platform: DCP-8110DN, DCP-8150DN, DCP-8155DN, HL-5440D, HL-5450DN, HL-5470DW, HL-5470DWT, HL-6180DW, HL-6180DWT, MFC-8510DN, MFC-8710DW, MFC-8810DW, MFC-8910DW and MFC-8950DW. One SKU on the shelf serving several different machines is exactly why this platform is cheap to administer.

Can I standardise on this cartridge and skip the TN720 entirely?

Yes, and most offices should. Both cartridges fit, but the TN720 holds 3,000 pages against the TN750's 8,000 — and both are $33.59 here. Standardising on the TN750 cuts swap frequency by nearly two-thirds and keeps one predictable cost figure, about 0.42 cents per page, across the fleet.

How are drum replacements budgeted on a shared machine?

The DR720 drum is rated at 12,000 pages and costs $41.78, arriving roughly every one and a half toner cycles. The printer tracks drum life separately and warns early, so an admin can fold it into the next scheduled order rather than treating it as an emergency.

What cover does purchasing get on these cartridges?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover every cartridge, with terms on our shipping & returns page. If a unit underperforms, support (9 AM–5 PM CST) arranges replacement or refund — no per-incident negotiation, which is what an admin actually needs from a supplier.

About This TN750 Cartridge for the HL-5450DN

Managing supplies for a networked printer is about removing surprises, and the TN750 is built for that: 8,000 pages per unit, one cartridge shared across a whole family of machines, and pack pricing that rewards buying ahead. This single at $33.59 is the baseline option; most office admins step straight to the 2-pack or larger and set the reorder-on-install rule. The full platform range sits in our Brother section.
