Frequently Asked Questions
The ratings say 30,000 and 34,000 pages. What assumption sits underneath those numbers?
Standard coverage — roughly a typical text page with modest graphics, the basis the whole industry uses so ratings can be compared at all. Your WorkCentre 7765 will hit those figures on office documents, fall short on photo-heavy pages, and exceed them on sparse drafts. Treat the black rating of 30,000 pages and the color ratings of 34,000 pages each as a measuring stick, not a meter reading.
Which cartridge's rating should drive our reorder timing?
Black's. In most offices the black cartridge (006R01219) empties first because every page — color or not — uses it. Cyan (006R01222), magenta (006R01221) and yellow (006R01220) are spent only where color appears. Watch the black level on the supplies screen and let it trigger the next set order; the colors will seldom surprise you if black does not.
Does duplex printing or booklet mode change toner consumption per page?
Toner is spent per printed side, not per sheet, so a duplex job uses the same toner as the same pages printed single-sided — it saves paper, not toner. What genuinely moves consumption is coverage: a page of solid color can spend several times the toner of a page of text, whatever the finishing options.
How can we tell which of the four numbers belongs in which slot during a change?
Each slot is labeled and color-keyed, and each cartridge carries its number on the label: 006R01219 black, 006R01222 cyan, 006R01221 magenta, 006R01220 yellow. A cartridge will not physically seat in the wrong slot, so a careful glance at the label is the only skill the swap requires.
Our press-side DocuColor work uses the same numbers — coincidence?
Not at all: the DocuColor 240, DocuColor 242, DocuColor 250, DocuColor 252 and DocuColor 260 run on this identical family, as do the WorkCentre 7655, WorkCentre 7665, WorkCentre 7675 and WorkCentre 7755. One $433.01 set is therefore a valid spare for equipment on both sides of the building.
What protection and help come with the purchase?
Each cartridge is under a 1-year warranty and returns are free for a year — the return procedure is posted on our shipping and returns page. We ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California depending on your address, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
About This WorkCentre 7765 Toner Set
Yield numbers only help if you know how to read them, and this set rewards a realistic reader: 30,000 black pages and 34,000 per color under standard coverage, delivered as four cartridges — 006R01219, 006R01222, 006R01221, 006R01220 — that between them cover months of mixed office work on the Xerox 7765. Order against the black cartridge's pace, keep the set beside the machine, and the ratings stop being marketing figures and start being your schedule.
