The low-toner warning popped up in the middle of a long run on our 7655 — does the job have to stop while all four cartridges are changed?
No. Only the color that is actually empty needs to come out; the other three stay where they are, even if their levels look uneven. A set like this one matters at that moment for a simple reason: whichever cartridge gives out — 006R01219 black, 006R01222 cyan, 006R01221 magenta or 006R01220 yellow — its replacement is already in the building, and the swap takes a couple of minutes before the queue moves again.

Black is rated at 30,000 pages and each color — cyan, magenta and yellow — at 34,000 pages, figures measured at standard page coverage.
