Frequently Asked Questions

What does this 5-pack hold for the WorkCentre 4260S?

Five compatible black 106R01409 cartridges — the 4260S's cartridge — each rated at 25,000 pages. That is 125,000 pages for $380.66, or $76.13 a cartridge, bringing the cost of a printed page to roughly 0.30 cents.

How does that compare with five single purchases?

Singles would cost $454.60 in total. This box is $380.66, so the saving is $73.94 — and every cartridge in it is the identical 106R01409 with the identical rating. The discount is the reward for ordering the quantity at once.

Do the cartridges fit only the 4260S?

No — the 106R01409 covers the platform: WorkCentre 4250, WorkCentre 4250C, WorkCentre 4250S, WorkCentre 4250X, WorkCentre 4250XF, WorkCentre 4260 and WorkCentre 4260X, together with the WorkCentre 4260S named here. Any of them can take a cartridge from this box.

How long will a 4260S take to work through five cartridges?

At 2,200 pages a month, roughly four and a half years; at 4,500 a month, just over two years. If your real pace is slower than the first figure, the 3-pack may be the honester fit; yields are rated at 5% coverage regardless of pack size.

How should a long-term box be stored?

Cartridges sealed, laid flat, in a cool dry cupboard out of the sun. Note the arrival month on the box and install oldest-first. An unopened cartridge waits quietly; rotation is the only discipline required.

What backing applies to this purchase?

A 1-year warranty against defects and 1-year free returns cover each cartridge in the pack. You will find the terms on our shipping and returns page, and our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
