Frequently Asked Questions

Before we reorder, how do we verify this set is the one our 7800GX takes?

Slide out any cartridge currently in the machine and read the number printed on its label, or open the supplies status page if you prefer not to open the printer. This set is built from four numbers: black 106R01569, cyan 106R01566, magenta 106R01567 and yellow 106R01568. If the labels inside your machine carry those same four numbers, you are looking at the right refill.

Our studio prints full-bleed brand proofs all day. Will the rated yields hold up?

The black cartridge is rated at 24,000 pages and each color at 17,200 pages, measured at standard coverage. A proof covered edge to edge in brand color lays down several times that toner load, so in a design studio the three colors will empty well ahead of the headline figures while black, used mostly for text and comps, lasts longer. Judge your reorder point by your busiest client weeks, not by the rating alone.

Magenta dropped out the night before a client review. Do we change the whole set?

No. Every color lives in its own slot as a separate sealed cartridge, so the weak channel comes out on its own and the other three stay put. Replace the magenta, print one test sheet to confirm the color balance is back, and the set carries on from there.

What does the $322.35 buy, exactly?

Four sealed high-yield toner cartridges — one black, one cyan, one magenta, one yellow — and nothing else in the box. Imaging drums and the waste toner container are different consumables on their own listings; if the printer is calling for one of those too, it goes on a separate order.

How quickly can a replacement set reach the studio?

Stock ships from whichever of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California is positioned to reach you fastest, and the transit times and return terms are spelled out on our shipping and returns page. Studios on client deadlines usually keep one sealed set on the shelf so a rush job never waits on a delivery.

If a cartridge streaks across a proof, what covers us?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty together with 1-year free returns, so a defective unit is replaced or refunded rather than argued over. A real support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the wider Xerox range is collected on the brand page for any other machines you run.

About This Phaser 7800GX High-Yield Toner Set

The 7800GX in a design studio earns its keep on comps, mock-ups and client proofs, work where the printed sheet is what gets approved. As part of the Phaser 7800 family, it draws from this high-yield four-cartridge set: 106R01569 black rated at 24,000 pages and the three colors, 106R01566, 106R01567 and 106R01568, rated at 17,200 pages apiece. Match the four numbers to the labels in your machine, order the set at $322.35, and the next round of proofs comes off the printer instead of off a courier schedule.
