Frequently Asked Questions

Our office shares one Phaser 6500DN between three desks. Is a full set the sensible buy?

For a shared machine, yes. A set puts all four cartridges on the shelf at once — black 106R01597, cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01595 and yellow 106R01596 — so whoever hits the empty warning can swap in the fresh cartridge on the spot instead of starting a purchase request. Shared printers rarely run dry one color at a time on a convenient schedule.

Does the Premium Quality label on this set mean better toner than the standard set?

It does not. Both listings contain the same cartridges, sell at the same $72.30, and carry the same warranty and returns terms. The Premium wording is a listing label, not a different product, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What page counts should we plan around?

Plan on 3,000 pages from the black cartridge and 2,500 pages from each of the three colors, all at standard coverage. A small team printing mostly documents will drain black noticeably faster; a team that produces color client packs will see the color ratings shrink sooner. Either way, the ratings give you a workable reorder point: when black is swapped, glance at the color levels too.

Someone refilled the wrong slot last time. How do we avoid that?

Match the part number on the cartridge label to the slot before you push it in — 106R01594 is always cyan, 106R01595 is always magenta, 106R01596 is always yellow and 106R01597 is always black. Reading the number takes five seconds and prevents the classic office mix-up.

What cover do we have if one of the four turns out to be defective?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns. If a unit misbehaves, contact our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST and we will walk you through the replacement or return. Orders are dispatched from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is nearest to you, with the full delivery picture on our shipping and returns page.

Do you sell these cartridges individually as well?

Yes — the wider Xerox catalogue lists the single cartridges for this family, which suits a shared printer that burns through black twice as fast as any color.

About This Phaser 6500DN Premium High Yield Four-Color Set

A Phaser 6500DN in a small office is rarely one person's printer — it is the machine the whole corner of the room depends on, and compatible with the Phaser 6500 and Phaser 6500N listings in the same family. This high yield set keeps that shared workload moving: a 3,000-page black cartridge for the everyday document traffic and 2,500 pages from each color for the reports and handouts that need them. One order at $72.30 restocks the whole machine, and the next low-toner warning becomes a two-minute shelf trip instead of a stalled afternoon.
