Frequently Asked Questions
Are the five cartridges in this pack all identical?
Identical, yes. Five compatible Xerox 106R01535 high-yield black cartridges, each sealed in its own bag, each rated at 30,000 pages at 5% coverage — 150,000 pages across the pack. This listing is named for the Phaser 4600DNM, but there is nothing model-specific inside the boxes: the same cartridge serves the whole Phaser 4600 and 4620 platform, and any unit from this pack can go into any of those machines.
How long will the pack keep a 4600DNM running?
At 2,000 pages a month, about 75 months of capacity. At 3,500 pages a month, roughly 43 months. At 6,000 pages a month — a genuinely busy workgroup pace — around 25 months. Let your real volume make the decision: the five-pack's bargain is its per-cartridge price, and it only pays if the cartridges will actually be used.
What is the saving against buying one at a time?
Five singles total $730.60; this pack is $656.64, so $73.96 stays in the budget. Per cartridge you pay about $131.33 versus $146.12, and the rated cost per page improves from roughly 0.49 cents to roughly 0.44 cents. No other difference — same cartridge, same yield rating, same warranty on every unit.
Which printers, exactly, can use these?
The Phaser 4600, Phaser 4620 and Phaser 4622DN families, including their letter-suffixed variants like the 4600DNM this page is named for. If the cartridge in your machine is stamped 106R01535, any cartridge from this pack is its replacement.
Four spares will sit for a long while. How do we store them properly?
Sealed, flat, cool and dry — a supply cupboard, not a loading dock. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, write the arrival month on each box, and rotate oldest-first. Toner cartridges are forgiving about waiting, far more than ink, but rotation and decent conditions are what turn a bulk buy into reliable stock instead of a gamble.
Does the warranty really cover a cartridge opened a year from now?
Each cartridge in the pack carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in its own right, so a defective unit is returnable or replaceable individually — you never have to surrender the whole pack over one bad cartridge. The full terms are published on the shipping and returns page, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
