Frequently Asked Questions

The old cartridge is out and in your hand — which number on its label orders this one?

106R01217, printed on the label. This listing is that cartridge: a single compatible black for $123.45. Ordering by the number rather than the printer name matters here, because the Phaser 6360 family is a color machine — its color cartridges carry entirely different numbers, and only 106R01217 brings the black back.

What does a 9,000-page rating mean on a machine this busy?

The 6360 series was built as a shared workgroup printer, the kind a whole department feeds all day. A cartridge rated at 9,000 pages means the swap interrupts that queue far less often than a standard fill would, and when the warning does arrive there has usually been a long, predictable run-up to it in the page count.

How does the cost land per page?

$123.45 across a rated 9,000 pages works out to about 1.37 cents per page for black. The rating follows the usual standard-coverage measure; ordinary office documents track close to it, while dense reports, solid-black headings and heavy graphics draw more toner per sheet and shorten the run.

Why does black empty while the color cartridges still show healthy levels?

Because the shared printer's diet is overwhelmingly black text — memos, invoices, contracts, reports. The colors sit waiting for the odd chart or logo while black does the daily lifting, so the 106R01217 finishing first is the expected pattern on this machine, not a sign of a leak or a fault.

Should a workgroup keep one of these on the shelf as a spare?

On a printer this many people depend on, yes — an empty black cartridge stops the whole queue, not one desk. Store the spare sealed in its box, flat, away from heat and direct sunlight, and it will be ready the day the installed cartridge finally fades.

What warranty, returns and delivery terms come with it?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a full year, with the full terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the range lives on the Xerox toner page.
