Frequently Asked Questions

What should the first pages look like after I install this in my B730?

Solid, even black text from the first sheet. A brand-new cartridge sometimes needs a page or two to settle, but output should be crisp and uniform — streaks or patchy areas on a fresh cartridge are worth a call to support (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST) rather than waiting it out.

How is this cartridge rated — what does 15,000 pages mean?

The 52123601 in this B730 listing is rated at 15,000 pages under standard test coverage. Dense pages use more toner and light memos use less, so treat 15,000 as the yardstick for comparing cartridges rather than a promise for your exact stack of documents.

What is the running cost per page?

At $93.04 for a 15,000-page rating, you are at roughly 0.62 cents per page — the kind of figure that makes a high-volume mono printer cheap to feed. It is one of the stronger reasons offices keep these machines in service for years.

Is this cartridge an Okidata original?

No, it is a compatible cartridge made to the 52123601 specification. It is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns — the full policy is on the shipping & returns page — and it fits and installs like the cartridge it replaces.

Can I finish the job I am in the middle of when toner runs low?

Usually, yes — low-toner warnings arrive with pages still in hand, and output quality, not an abrupt stop, is the first thing to slip. Use the warning as your ordering signal and the replacement will be on hand before quality forces the issue.

How fast will my order get here?

Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so most destinations are only a short transit away. If your B730 is already printing light pages, ordering now is the difference between a planned swap and a stalled printer.
