ENVY 7643

HP ENVY 7643 printer

The HP ENVY 7643 prints with the HP 62 ink family. Original HP codes for this family: C2P04AN, C2P06AN, C2P05AN, C2P07AN, with rated yields from about 165 to about 600 pages. Every Clever Supplies cartridge below is a compatible built to the original specification — same fit, same rated yield, lifetime warranty — and this page lists exactly which ones the ENVY 7643 takes.

Cartridge	Colour	Approx. yield
C2P04AN	Black	200 pages
C2P06AN	Tri-color	165 pages
C2P05AN	Black	600 pages
C2P07AN	Tri-color	415 pages

Printers like the ENVY 7643 carry their printheads inside the cartridges, so every cartridge change is also a printhead renewal. That design makes these machines forgiving of age and irregular use — a dried-out head is replaced, not repaired — and it makes the quality of the cartridge you buy the single biggest factor in how the printer prints.

The cartridge carries a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer. If a firmware update ever causes a recognition warning, reseating the cartridge and restarting the printer clears most false alarms; anything that still refuses to print is covered by the lifetime warranty.
