Do copies on our C3765dnf draw from the same cartridges as prints?
Yes. Every copy the machine makes is printed with the same four cartridges — 331-8429 black, 331-8432 cyan, 331-8431 magenta and 331-8430 yellow — so copying consumes toner exactly as printing does. Scanning and faxing a received document to memory use none; it is the paper output that counts against the ratings.
How much copying and printing does one set cover?
The black cartridge is rated for up to 11,000 pages and each color for up to 9,000 pages, at the standard 5% coverage assumption. A front desk that copies forms and prints correspondence all day will work through those numbers faster than the page counts alone suggest if the copies are dense — originals with heavy shading draw more toner per page than plain text.
How should we store a spare set for this machine?
Keep the cartridges sealed in their packaging, flat, in a cool dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat vents. Stored that way, a spare set waits patiently on the shelf — and with ratings this high, a single spare set is all the backup a C3765dnf usually needs on hand.
What does the set cost per cartridge?
At $94.45 for four cartridges, the average is about $23.61 each. For a multifunction machine that prints, copies and receives faxes, that one average covers every kind of paper the machine produces — there is no separate supply budget for the copier side of it.
Is this the same set the C3760 printers use?
It is. The C3765dnf shares its cartridge family — 331-8429, 331-8432, 331-8431 and 331-8430 — with the C3760, C3760n, C3760dn and the plain C3765. An office running a mix of those models can hold one set specification as common stock.
What backs a spare set sitting on our shelf?
A one-year warranty and one-year free returns, as detailed on our shipping and returns page, and we ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California. Support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything about an installed cartridge seems off.
