Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is inside this 3 color set?

Three individual high-yield cartridges, one of each color: the 330-5850 cyan, the 330-5843 magenta and the 330-5852 yellow, each rated at 12,000 pages. They are the same cartridges sold separately for the Dell Color Laser 5120cdn and 5130cdn, bundled into a single box and a single order — nothing about the cartridges themselves changes.

Is a black cartridge included in the set?

No, and we would rather say that plainly up front. This set covers the three colors only; the 5130cdn's black cartridge is a separate item with its own supply cycle, and black usually runs on a very different schedule from the colors. If your black is also low, add it to the same order rather than discovering it mid-job — the range is on our Dell toner page.

What does the set save compared with buying the three cartridges separately?

Bought individually, the 330-5850, 330-5843 and 330-5852 total $144.61. The set is $107.63, so you keep $36.98 — an average of about $35.88 per cartridge instead of prices that run from $47.31 to $49.99. That saving is the entire point of the bundle; there is no difference in what lands in the printer.

Do I have to install all three cartridges at the same time?

No. Each cartridge is individually sealed and swaps in independently, so fit whichever color has actually run out and keep the others boxed until their turn comes. Many offices install one and shelve two. Store the spares flat, sealed and out of sunlight, and rotate them in as each color fades.

Our colors never run out evenly — does a set still make sense?

Usually yes. Uneven use is normal — cyan often drains first in offices that print charts and photos — but every color does eventually run out, and the set price beats the single prices regardless of the order you install them in. The only office it suits less is one that barely prints a single color at all; for everyone else, the $36.98 saving is real money for cartridges you will use anyway.

What warranty and returns cover does the set carry?

Each cartridge in the set is a compatible cartridge covered by a one-year warranty and one year of free returns, with the terms set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything in the box disappoints.
