Frequently Asked Questions

Which yellow cartridge does the M880z+ use?

The CF302A, the yellow member of the 827A family shared across the M880 line. This is one cartridge for the M880z+, rated at 32,000 pages, priced at $78.04.

Several teams share our z+. Who notices first when yellow fades?

Usually the team printing the most graphics — their greens and golds drift while text teams see nothing. The supplies page on the LaserJet M880z ends the argument: yellow's bar is either low or it is not.

Why does yellow empty 'suddenly' on a shared machine?

Because no single user owns the whole consumption. Ten people's moderate color work adds up invisibly until the gauge crosses empty — a spare CF302A in the cupboard converts that surprise into a two-minute swap.

Is this cartridge installed differently on the plus model?

No. The M880 family's front-door routine carries across the line: lift out the old yellow with two hands, rock the new one gently, seat it, close the door and let calibration finish.

Can the cartridge wait on a shelf as shared stock?

For a long time, yes. Sealed toner keeps its full rating stored flat away from heat and sunlight. Shared stock is exactly how these departmental cartridges are meant to be held.

What protection and shipping apply?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover the cartridge; see our shipping and returns page for details. We deliver from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support works Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This HP 827A Yellow Cartridge for the M880z+

Yellow for the M880z+ in the compatible CF302A: 32,000 pages at $78.04, from the HP toner cartridges range at Clever Supplies. On a machine the whole building shares, it keeps the least-noticed color from becoming the most-complained-about one. There is a diplomatic benefit, too: on a shared machine, the person who keeps a spare in the cupboard becomes the hero of a story nobody has to hear. A 32,000-page yellow arrives quietly, waits patiently, and one day saves a deadline that five departments would otherwise remember. On shared machines, reliability is a courtesy to strangers; this cartridge extends that courtesy for months at a time. Every month.
