Frequently Asked Questions

Several of us share a LaserJet M130nw — how do we know the drum needs changing?

Let the machine report: its supplies status page shows drum life remaining, and anyone can print it. The visible clues are communal too — colleagues mention grey, tired-looking pages, and copies come off the glass with a hazy background. When the status page and the complaints agree, the CF219A drum is due.

Is this the toner for the M130nw?

It is not. The M130nw splits the jobs: CF217A cartridges carry the toner powder, and this CF219A — the HP 19A imaging drum — forms the image the toner fills in. A drum contains no powder and changes rarely, roughly every 12,000 pages, making it the part most likely forgotten until output quality starts a conversation.

Why did our print quality fade even though toner was replaced?

Because the problem sat one layer deeper. Fresh toner on a worn drum surface still produces haze, uneven density and repeating blemishes — the drum decides how cleanly the image lands. Replacing cartridges without checking drum life is the classic shared-printer loop; this unit ends it.

Who should fit the new drum, and how hard is it?

Whoever draws the short straw — no tools, no technician. Open the top, remove the cartridge, swap the drum unit by its handle, replace the cartridge. Two minutes, and no network or printer settings are disturbed, so the workgroup notices nothing beyond pages looking sharp again.

Can we check drum life without standing at the printer?

Yes — the M130nw reports supplies through its built-in web interface, so drum life can be checked from any browser on the same network. A monthly glance catches the drum near the end of its roughly 12,000-page life, in time to have a replacement ready.

What is the price, and what support is behind it?

This M130nw drum is $32.69, backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, our team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the shipping and returns page sets out the rest.

About This CF219A Drum for the LaserJet M130nw

Shared printers suffer shared blind spots, and on the LaserJet M130nw the blindest is the imaging drum. This CF219A — the HP 19A drum — quietly accumulates pages from every user on the network until copies and prints start to grey. One replacement restores the imaging surface for roughly 12,000 more pages, in minutes, touching no settings.

This CF219A part serves the LaserJet M102a and the LaserJet Pro M102w too - the whole M102 pair shares the supply, whichever badge is on the front. The supply this drum works with is the CF217A toner cartridge - the two are ordered separately and changed on very different cycles.
