Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is in this 3-color set?

Three cartridges, one for each color channel: the CF511A cyan, the CF513A magenta and the CF512A yellow — the HP 204A colors. Each is rated at 900 pages. One of each color, so a printer whose whole color side is ageing gets a complete, even refresh in a single order.

Is there a black cartridge in the set?

No — and we would rather state that plainly than let the box surprise you. This is a color-only set: cyan, magenta and yellow. The black cartridge for these printers is a separate unit, bought separately. If your black is healthy, this set is exactly what a color refresh needs and nothing it does not.

When does replacing all three colors at once make sense?

When the printer's color output has drifted overall — everything looks a little tired, and the three color cartridges were installed around the same time and have aged together. Fresh cartridges in all three channels restore a known, balanced baseline, which also makes any future color problem far easier to diagnose.

Which printers does the set serve?

The compact color LaserJets built around the 204A family, including the Color LaserJet Pro M154a. Each cartridge goes into its own color-coded slot, so there is no way to seat one in the wrong position.

What is the set priced at?

$60.49 for the three cartridges together, within our HP toner cartridges range. Three individual color supplies in one box — the black cartridge, as noted, is not part of this listing.

What warranty and returns cover the set?

Every cartridge in the set carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; the wording is on our shipping and returns page. Deliveries come from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This HP 204A 3-Color Set

Color printers rarely fade one channel at a time — the whole palette tires together. This set of three 204A cartridges, one each of CF511A cyan, CF513A magenta and CF512A yellow at 900 pages apiece, renews the complete color side in one $60.49 order. Black stays a separate purchase, stated openly, so the set is precisely what it claims to be.
