Frequently Asked Questions

My printer keeps warning about low toner and copies are coming out pale. Is it time?

Almost certainly. On the M725 multifunction machines, a low-toner warning followed by evenly faded prints and copies means the CF214A is nearly exhausted. Finish the current job, then swap in this cartridge and the deep, even black comes straight back.

How do I confirm the 14A is what my machine uses?

Open the front door and read the label on the cartridge inside. The 14A is stamped CF214A; if that code is what you see, this single cartridge is the correct replacement, with no drum or second part to order alongside it.

Which printers is this cartridge made for?

It serves the Enterprise 700 M712dn line, including the M712n and M712xh, and the Enterprise 700 MFP M725dn, M725f and M725z. Small offices most often meet it in the M725, where one machine prints, copies and scans for the whole team.

How long will one cartridge last in a small office?

It is rated at 10,000 pages at 5 percent coverage. An office printing a few hundred pages a day gets weeks of work from it; the rating is a benchmark, so heavy reports with dense pages will land somewhat under it.

Is changing it a job I can do myself?

Yes. Open the front door, pull the old cartridge straight out by its handle, slide this one in until it seats, and close the door. It takes under a minute, needs no tools, and the printer is ready as soon as it warms up.

What protection comes with the $56.99 price?

The cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If it arrives faulty or fails early in normal use, we replace it or refund you. Questions are answered by real people Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
