Frequently Asked Questions

Does copying on the WorkCentre use these same cartridges?

Yes. On the WorkCentre 6515 the copy, print and fax functions all draw on the same four cartridges — black 106R03480, cyan 106R03477, magenta 106R03478 and yellow 106R03479. A week of heavy color copying can drain a color cartridge just as surely as printing does, which is worth remembering if levels drop faster than your print counts suggest.

What comes in this 4 color set?

One cartridge per position: black 106R03480, cyan 106R03477, magenta 106R03478 and yellow 106R03479. It is the complete set for the machine, so one box covers a full refresh or serves as the shelf stock behind whichever color calls for a change first.

How long should each cartridge last in a multifunction?

The black 106R03480 is rated at up to 5,500 pages and each color — 106R03477 cyan, 106R03478 magenta, 106R03479 yellow — at up to 2,400 pages at 5% coverage. In an office that mostly copies text documents the black will do the long haul; regular color copying and photo prints pull the color ratings down faster.

Can I change just the cartridge the panel is complaining about?

Yes — the four cartridges are independent, and the WorkCentre only needs the empty one replaced to get back to work. Keeping this set on hand means whichever of 106R03480, 106R03477, 106R03478 or 106R03479 drops first, its replacement is already in the cupboard.

Is this the same set the Phaser 6510 uses?

It is. The WorkCentre 6515 and the Phaser 6510 share this cartridge family, so the set is interchangeable between the two — handy if your office runs the multifunction beside the printer and stocks one cupboard for both.

What are the warranty, returns and shipping terms?

The set carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, set out on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and support is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. This WorkCentre 6515 4 color set is $47.04.
