Frequently Asked Questions

Why have the greens in our prints turned blue?

Because green is not a colour the printer carries — it is built on the page from yellow laid over cyan. As the yellow cartridge thins out, the mixture loses its warm half and every green slides toward blue. When a 7760's greens go cold while its blues still look strong, the yellow is the first suspect, and it is usually the right one.

The listing name says "Cartridges." How many are in the box?

One, stated plainly. The plural is a habit of catalog wording, not a count: this listing is a single 106R01162 yellow cartridge rated at up to 25,000 pages, and the $134.58 price buys that one cartridge. Anyone needing several orders several.

Which printers does this yellow serve?

The Phaser 7760 line as a family: the base Phaser 7760, the Phaser 7760DN and the Phaser 7760DX, with the GX and Y-badged variants taking the same cartridge. One yellow covers the whole platform.

How far does one cartridge realistically go in a general office?

The rating is up to 25,000 pages at 5 percent coverage. An office printing colour documents with charts, logos and shaded tables covers more than that per page, so expect a real figure comfortably below the rating — still measured in months for most offices, not weeks, which is the practical meaning of a high-capacity colour cartridge.

The printer reports yellow low but is still printing well. Swap now or later?

Later — but order now. The low warning opens a planning window while output is still good; the right routine is to get the replacement on the shelf during that window and swap when the colour shift actually appears in the work, rather than discarding toner the machine can still use.

What guarantee comes with it?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a full year. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a new cartridge's output needs a second opinion before you decide anything.
