Frequently Asked Questions

The listing name says "Cartridges" — how many are in the box?

One. The plural wording is a habit of catalog naming, not a count: this listing is a single magenta cartridge, part number 106R01161, priced at $70.76. What you are buying is one cartridge rated for up to 25,000 pages — which on this machine is a long working life, not a sampler.

What does a fading magenta look like on a Phaser 7760?

The warmth drains out of the page. Reds flatten, pinks turn dusty, photographs pick up a green-blue cast, and solid color areas start to band. Because magenta feeds so many mixed tones, its decline is usually noticed in pictures and graphics long before plain text documents look any different.

How long does 25,000 pages really last?

That figure is the cartridge's rated yield, and on a 7760 it stretches a long way: studios and offices that print color proofs, covers and presentation material daily typically measure a cartridge's life in months. Heavy full-bleed coverage will shorten it; everyday mixed office color will come much closer to the rating.

Which 7760 models take this cartridge?

Every configuration of the family — the Phaser 7760 listed here, plus the Phaser 7760DN, the Phaser 7760DX and the GX, YDN, YDX and YGX variants. One magenta cartridge design serves the entire line.

Is it worth replacing magenta alone when the set is aging?

Yes — the four cartridges deplete independently, and replacing a healthy cyan or yellow early just throws away paid-for pages. Magenta at $70.76 works out to about 0.28 cents per page; change the color that is actually fading and let the rest finish their run.

What cover comes with the cartridge?

Our 1-year warranty, with free returns running a full year as set out on the shipping & returns page. We dispatch from IL, PA, GA and CA, the support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and sibling colors and other consumables for the machine are collected on the Xerox supplies page.

About This Phaser 7760 Magenta Cartridge

Built around the base Phaser 7760, this listing is the family's magenta refill in its simplest form: a single compatible 106R01161 cartridge at $70.76, rated to 25,000 pages. It suits the long-lived 7760s still doing daily duty in studios and marketing departments, where warm, accurate reds are the whole point of the machine.
