Frequently Asked Questions

Five cartridges is a lot of toner — who genuinely needs this pack?

High-throughput sites: a department whose 6350 runs reports all day, a small print room, or a business with several of these printers sharing one supply shelf. This listing is five 106R01147 black cartridges for $201.58. If your printer only wakes up a few times a week, be honest with yourself — a smaller pack is the better buy, and this one will outlast your patience.

What is the per-cartridge and per-page cost at this size?

The five-pack brings each cartridge down to $40.32, compared with $55.11 singly — five singles would come to $275.55, so the pack saves $73.97. Across the combined 50,000 rated pages, black printing costs about 0.40 cents a page, the lowest figure in this cartridge's range of listings.

How does a shared shelf across several printers change the maths?

It makes deep stock safe. One slow printer might never justify five cartridges, but three or four machines drawing on the same 106R01147 pool — the Phaser 6350, Phaser 6350DP and Phaser 6350DT all take this same black — turn the pack over steadily, and a faded cartridge anywhere in the building is a two-minute fix.

Can toner sit in a cupboard for a year and still print properly?

Yes, kept sealed and stored flat in a normal indoor environment. The failure mode is not age but conditions — heat, damp and sunlight are what degrade a stored cartridge. A stockroom shelf is fine; a boiler room is not. Rotate the stock so the oldest box is always used first.

How do you know when the pool is running low?

Count boxes, not warnings. With a shared shelf, the workable rule is to reorder when two cartridges remain: one will be fitted soon, one stands reserve, and the fresh order arrives before the reserve is touched. Printer warnings belong to individual machines; shelf discipline belongs to whoever owns the cupboard.

What warranty and returns cover a pack this size?

The same as every listing here: a one-year warranty and free returns for a full year on each cartridge, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Stock ships from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, with support Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the full range gathered on the Xerox toner page.
