Frequently Asked Questions

The name says "Toner Cartridges" — how many are actually in the box?

One. We say that plainly rather than let the plural in the listing name mislead: the $101.60 price buys a single compatible 106R01395 black cartridge. Multi-cartridge packs of this same cartridge exist as their own separate listings; this one is the single unit, sold under the 6280 printer's name.

What yield does the single cartridge carry?

Up to 8,000 pages at the standard rating of roughly 5% coverage — this is the high yield black for the platform, so a single cartridge covers a long run of everyday printing before the machine asks for another.

What is the per-page cost of this cartridge?

At $101.60 against up to 8,000 rated pages, the toner works out to about 1.27 cents a page. On a color machine whose daily output is mostly black documents, that figure is effectively the cost of running the printer.

Is this only the black cartridge?

Yes. The 106R01395 fills the black position; the color positions in the 6280 take their own cartridges under different part numbers, and none of them are included here. If your machine is asking for black specifically, this is the cartridge it is asking for.

Which printers is it listed for?

The Phaser 6280 first of all, and its Phaser 6280DN and 6280N relatives — the family's black slot is the same across the range, and this cartridge is built for it.

How is the cartridge backed?

With a one-year warranty and free returns for a year, the details of which are on the shipping and returns page. It dispatches from IL, PA, GA and CA, support keeps Monday to Friday hours, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the platform's supplies are collected on the Xerox toner page.
