Frequently Asked Questions

The title says "Toner Cartridges" — how many are in the box?

One. This listing's name uses the plural, but what arrives is a single black cartridge — Xerox part number 106R01455 — for $38.26. It is exactly the same cartridge sold under the part-number listing; only the page title is written differently. If you want two, three or five in the box, those are separate pack listings of this same cartridge.

What does the "6128" in the name refer to?

It is shorthand for the printer family this cartridge belongs to: the Phaser 6128MFP compact color multifunction and its networked twin, the 6128MFP/N. Sellers title the listing by model or by part number depending on how buyers search; underneath, both routes land on the same 106R01455 black cartridge.

What am I paying per page with this single?

At the full rating of 3,100 pages, $38.26 works out to roughly 1.23 cents per page — reasonable for a small machine's black cartridge bought one at a time. The multipacks of this cartridge trim that figure further, but for a light-use desk the single keeps cash and shelf space free until the toner is actually needed.

Will this also replace the color cartridges in my 6128?

No — this is the black only. The 6128MFP holds four separate cartridges, and each color is its own part number and its own listing. Black is simply the one most owners replace most often, because nearly everything the machine prints day to day is text.

How long is 3,100 pages likely to last me?

That depends on volume more than anything else. A home office printing fifty pages a week can stretch one cartridge past a year; a small business desk printing that much in a day will see a few months. Dense pages with heavy black coverage shorten the run; plain letters extend it.

What if the cartridge arrives faulty, and how fast does it ship?

It is covered by a one-year warranty with free returns for a year — the terms are on the shipping and returns page. Stock ships from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST. You will find the wider range for these printers on the Xerox toner page.
