Frequently Asked Questions
Who actually needs eight cartridges for a four-slot printer?
Offices where the printer never really stops: shared machines serving several desks, heavy monthly volumes, or sites far from a same-week delivery guarantee. Eight cartridges means two full working groups held in reserve, so toner ordering drops off the weekly task list and an empty slot is always answered from the cupboard, never from an urgent courier order.
What part numbers does the eight-pack cover?
The four numbers this platform runs on — 106R01455 black, 106R01452 cyan, 106R01453 magenta and 106R01454 yellow — with the eight cartridges drawn from across those numbers. Every unit in the box belongs to the 6128 fitting; nothing from a different Xerox line is mixed in, so any cartridge you pick up fits one of the machine's four positions.
How do I rotate eight cartridges so none sits forgotten at the back?
Work first-in, first-out. When the delivery arrives, note the date on each box, place newer stock behind older stock, and always install from the front of the shelf. Toner keeps well, but disciplined rotation means no cartridge spends years in a cupboard while fresher ones cycle past it — and level-watching stays simple because the shelf order tells the story.
Will cartridges bought now still be good when their turn comes?
Yes, provided they stay sealed. Kept flat in their packaging, in a room-temperature space out of direct sun and away from heat, toner cartridges hold their quality across the kind of storage period an eight-pack implies. Avoid attics, garages and windowsills, where temperature swings and light do the real damage.
What yields am I stocking against?
Each black 106R01455 is rated at up to 3,100 pages, and each color — 106R01452 cyan, 106R01453 magenta, 106R01454 yellow — at up to 2,500 pages, both at the standard 5% coverage. Color-rich work will cycle the colors through the shelf faster than the black; memo-and-email workloads do the opposite. The ratings let you estimate how many months the full stock represents for your office.
Where does the stock ship from, and what backs it?
We dispatch from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, using the stocking point closest to your delivery address. The purchase carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — see our shipping and returns page for the full terms — and support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want the numbers checked against your machine first.
About This 6128 8 Color Set
This eight-cartridge stock-up for the Phaser 6128MFP is priced at $148.01 and spans the platform's four codes: 106R01455 black rated up to 3,100 pages, with 106R01452 cyan, 106R01453 magenta and 106R01454 yellow rated up to 2,500 pages each. It is built for shared, high-use machines where running a slot dry costs more in disruption than the stock costs on the shelf. Smaller quantities for the same printer are listed on our Xerox toner page.
