Frequently Asked Questions

The title says "Cartridges" — how many are in the box?

One. The plural wording is how this Phaser 6022 listing family is catalogued; what ships is a single compatible yellow toner cartridge, the 106R02758, for $25.22. If your printer is asking for yellow, one cartridge is the complete fix — there is no second unit hiding in the box and none needed.

How far does a 1,000-page yellow cartridge go on a desktop printer?

The 1,000-page figure is the standard yield, measured at 5% page coverage. On a Phaser 6022 that mostly prints documents, yellow is consumed slowly — it appears in charts, highlights and the occasional photo rather than in text — so a yellow cartridge commonly outlasts the rating's calendar time even while the page count holds. At $25.22 it works out to about 2.52 cents per rated page.

My greens are printing blue. Is that a yellow problem?

Very likely. Green is mixed from cyan and yellow; take the yellow away and the same file prints blue or teal. Oranges drifting red and warm photos turning cold point the same way. Before replacing anything, print the colour test page: a pale or broken yellow patch confirms the 106R02758 is the cartridge at the end of its life.

Can I keep printing when the yellow warning first appears?

For text work, yes — black is a separate cartridge and documents will keep coming out sharp. Colour work is where the debt shows: every page printed with an empty yellow distorts greens and warm tones further. Most owners finish the urgent text job, then swap the yellow before the next colour run.

Is this the yellow for my machine?

This cartridge serves the Phaser 6022 and the WorkCentre 6027. If your spent yellow's label reads 106R02758, you have the right match regardless of which of the two models sits on the desk.

What happens if the cartridge disappoints?

Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year; the terms are set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
