Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly arrives when I order this 2 pack?
Two identical compatible black cartridges, each one the high-yield 106R02738 fill rated at up to 14,400 pages. Between them they hold about 28,800 pages of printing. Most buyers fit the first cartridge the day the box lands and keep the second on the shelf as the standing spare, so the next low-toner warning is a two-minute swap instead of an emergency order.
What does the pair do to my cost per cartridge?
The pack is $58.63, which puts each cartridge at $29.32 against $38.56 bought singly — a saving of $18.49 across the pair. In page terms the toner drops to roughly 0.20 cents per page. Nothing about the cartridges changes; the saving comes purely from buying the second one in the same box.
Why does one box carry both the 3655 and the 3655X names?
Because a single cartridge design serves both machines. This listing is named for the WorkCentre 3655X, and the same supply fits the WorkCentre 3655 as well — both badges appear so owners of either machine find the right product. The number that settles any doubt is the one on your old cartridge: 106R02738.
How long will two cartridges keep a working office going?
At a steady 2,000 pages a month, 28,800 pages is more than a year of printing. Even a busy desk at 4,000 pages a month gets around seven months from the pair. That horizon is the real convenience of the 2 pack: toner stops being a recurring errand and becomes something you think about twice a year.
Does the spare lose anything sitting unopened for months?
No. Toner is a dry powder sealed inside the cartridge; it does not dry out, settle into uselessness or expire on a office timescale. Store the spare flat, in its packaging, away from heat and damp, and it will print like the first one when its turn comes.
What if one of the cartridges turns out faulty?
Both cartridges carry our one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — the details live on the shipping and returns page. Shipments go out from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and you can reach support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
