Frequently Asked Questions

How does a three-pack map onto a year of printing?

Three MLT-D205E cartridges hold 30,000 rated pages in total. For a workgroup printing around 2,500 pages a month, that is roughly a full year of toner bought in one order — one cartridge in the machine, two in reserve, and no mid-quarter scramble when a big job lands.

What is the per-cartridge price inside this pack?

The three-pack is $87.07, which divides to $29.02 per cartridge against $41.35 for a single — a saving of $36.98 across the set. Toner per page drops to about 0.29 cents, the kind of figure that makes a visible difference on a departmental print budget.

Can one three-pack supply several printers?

Yes, provided they are on the compatibility list: the ML-3712DW, ML-3712ND and SCX-5639FR all take this same cartridge. Offices running a mix of those models often keep a shared three-pack as common stock rather than separate spares per machine.

Why pick this size over the two-pack or the five-pack?

It is the middle step: enough reserve to cover a heavy quarter comfortably, without tying up as much cash or shelf time as the larger bundles. If your page counter says you will burn through three cartridges well inside a year, this is the proportionate buy.

Is the drum included in the pack?

No — the pack is toner only. These printers pair each cartridge with a separate MLT-R205 imaging unit that wears independently, so budget for the drum on its own replacement cycle rather than with every toner order.

What warranty and returns apply to the pack?

Every cartridge in the set carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year should one prove faulty. The complete policy is published on our shipping and returns page, and the support desk is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
