Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this listing bundle four cartridges rather than five?

Four is the middle step of the ML-3312ND's ladder: enough MLT-D205L stock to cover most offices for months — 20,000 rated pages — at a lower outlay than the five-pack, for buyers who do not want five cartridges of cash sitting on the shelf. Singles, the two-pack at $59.55, this four-pack and the five-pack at $121.13 let you stock to your own pace.

What does each cartridge in this pack effectively cost?

The four-pack is $100.60, which is $25.15 a cartridge — against $39.02 bought singly. Across the box the saving is $55.48, and toner per rated page works out at about 0.50 cents, close to the five-pack's 0.48 cents.

How much printing does the pack hold in total?

Four cartridges at a rated 5,000 pages each: 20,000 pages. An ML-3312ND printing 1,500 pages a month takes over a year to work through it; at 3,000 a month, around six to seven months. Dense coverage trims those spans slightly.

How should the four cartridges be stored and used in turn?

Sealed, flat and in a cool, dry place, fitted in the order they arrived. Toner keeps well, so the rotation is simply about stock discipline — the oldest cartridge goes in first, and none is left forgotten at the back of a cupboard.

What if one cartridge from the pack turns out to be faulty?

Cover applies cartridge by cartridge: a 1-year warranty with free returns for a year on each unit. The faulty cartridge alone is returned — the shipping and returns page sets out the process — and the other three stay in service or in stock.

Which other printers can use cartridges from this pack?

Every unit is a standard MLT-D205L, shared by the ML-3310, ML-3310D, ML-3710DW, ML-3712, ML-3712D and ML-3712ND printers and the SCX-4833, SCX-4835FD, SCX-5637HR, SCX-5639FR, SCX-5737 and SCX-5739FW multifunctions, among others in the Samsung workgroup range.
