Frequently Asked Questions

We print red sale flyers and posters on our CLP-620 — why does the magenta always go first?

Because promotional red is mostly magenta. A strong sale red is built from magenta with yellow laid over it, so every poster, price burst and red banner your CLP-620 produces draws hard on this one cartridge while the cyan barely wakes up. The CLT-M508S is rated at 2,000 pages of standard five-percent coverage; a full-bleed red flyer uses several times that on a single sheet, which is why a campaign month can consume a cartridge that ordinary office work would stretch across a season.

How should we budget magenta for a big print run?

Start from the rating and discount it honestly. At $57.72 for 2,000 rated pages, magenta costs about 2.89 cents a page at standard coverage — but a dense flyer page might carry three or four times the standard toner load, so plan a large promotional run as if the cartridge's 2,000 pages were a few hundred flyers. Ordering before the run, rather than after the warning light, is what keeps a deadline safe.

Which printers is this cartridge the magenta for?

It is the magenta supply listed for the Samsung CLP-620ND and CLP-670N, the colour laser platform behind this CLP-620 listing. The same machine's black slot takes the CLT-K508S, rated at 2,500 pages; this is its red-side partner.

Does an ordinary letter use any magenta at all?

Only where colour actually appears — a red logo in the letterhead, a highlighted line, a stamp-like graphic. A plain black letter uses none. In most offices the magenta's life is decided by the minority of pages that carry warm colour: the flyers, the covers, the charts with a red series running through them.

Is it worth keeping a spare magenta on the shelf?

For a business that prints to deadlines, yes. Magenta rarely empties at a convenient moment, and it tends to empty mid-run, when the last fifty flyers matter most. A sealed spare in the cupboard turns that into a two-minute swap; it keeps without spoiling, ready for the next campaign.

What warranty and returns cover does it carry?

A one-year warranty against defects, plus free returns for a full year from the day you buy — the details live on our shipping and returns page. The rest of the family sits in the Samsung toner cartridge range, and our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
