Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is in this four-cartridge set?
One of each cartridge the SP C840 uses: one black, one cyan, one magenta, and one yellow. It is a complete refresh for the machine in a single box, so every color position gets a fresh cartridge at the same time. For offices that replace cartridges as a planned set rather than one emergency at a time, this keeps all four supplies on the same schedule.
How many pages does the set cover?
The yields differ by cartridge, so there is no single honest total. The black cartridge is rated at up to 43,000 pages, and each color cartridge — cyan, magenta, and yellow — is rated at up to 34,000 pages. In practice, black usually lasts longest in offices that print mostly documents, while color consumption depends on how much of your output is graphics, charts, and color pages.
Does this set fit my printer?
This four-cartridge set is built for Ricoh SP C840. If your machine is part of the SP C840 series, all four cartridges in the box are the ones it takes. Confirm the model name on your printer before ordering, because Ricoh cartridges for other series are not interchangeable even when they look similar.
Will the colors run out long before the black?
They can, depending on what you print. Each color is rated at 34,000 pages against black's 43,000, and color-heavy work — presentations, marketing pieces, charts — draws the colors down faster still. Text-heavy offices often find the opposite: black empties first. Individual cartridges can be replaced on their own later; buying this set now does not lock you into set-only replacements afterward.
Is a full set a sensible buy for a smaller office?
If your SP C840 prints steadily, yes — $361.65 restocks the entire machine at once and removes four separate reorder decisions. If the printer only runs occasionally, a full set is a bigger commitment than you need, and starting with the single cartridge that is actually low is the more honest recommendation. The set makes the most sense when the machine is a shared, regularly used department printer.
How are warranty and returns handled for a set?
The set is covered by a 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year. If a single cartridge in the set is faulty, it is handled on its own — you are not expected to send back the cartridges that are working. Full terms are on our shipping and returns page, and our team answers questions Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
