Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of office actually goes through 28,000 fax and copy pages?
More than you would think: medical practices receiving referrals, law offices exchanging filings, real estate teams moving contracts, and any business whose fax line still runs all day. Add prints and copies on top of a busy fax load and 7,000 pages per cartridge disappears in a few months. If that sounds like your office, bulk is the honest fit; if it does not, the 2-pack is the better buy.
What is the per-page cost when we buy four at once?
The 4-pack is $59.75 for 28,000 pages — about 0.21 cents per page, roughly half the single-cartridge rate. Each cartridge effectively costs $14.94, and the pack saves $55.49 compared with four singles.
Does this 4-pack work in our MP-161F and our other machines?
Won't the last cartridge be stale by the time we open it?
Not if it is stored properly. Sealed in its bag, kept flat in a cool, dry closet away from sun and heat, toner stays stable for a long shelf life. Rotate your stock — oldest cartridge in first — and the fourth cartridge will print like the first.
Fax pages are eating our toner faster than prints. Why?
Partly volume — the line receives pages around the clock, including junk faxes nobody wanted. Partly coverage: scanned-and-faxed documents often carry heavier shading than clean office prints, and heavier coverage spends the 7,000-page rating faster. Both effects are normal, and both argue for having stock on hand.
How are we protected buying this far ahead?
Your purchase is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free within a year — the full terms live on our shipping and returns page. A cartridge that misbehaves when you finally open it is still a covered cartridge, and our support team (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM CST) will take care of it.
