Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of printing volume justifies ordering five black cartridges at once?
This set holds 75,000 rated pages of black toner, which makes sense for print-heavy environments: a department machine that also handles the office's copying, a small print room, or several platform machines drawing from one stockroom shelf. If a single CL4000DN in your office takes months to finish one cartridge, be honest with the math — this pack is built for throughput, and the smaller sets will serve you better.
What is the per-cartridge price in the 5-pack, and how much do I save?
The set costs $445.60, which works out to $89.12 per cartridge — the lowest unit price in this black cartridge family. Against five singles at $103.91 each, you save $73.95, and the effective cost per page drops to about 0.59 cents at the rated 15,000-page yield. The saving is structural, not a promotion: bigger sets in this line simply carry a lower price per cartridge.
Are all five cartridges the same, and do they fit every machine on this platform?
Yes on both counts — five identical 888308 black cartridges, the standard black for the entire CL4000DN platform family: Lanier LP226cn, Aficio CL4000DN, Aficio SP C410DN and Aficio SP C411DN. The listing title names the CL4000DN, but the cartridge is not exclusive to that one model; every machine on the list uses it. That commonality is what lets a stockroom hold one deep reserve instead of five shallow ones.
How do I store five cartridges without them getting in the way?
Each cartridge arrives individually sealed and boxes stack flat, so a single stockroom shelf or cabinet is all the space this set needs. Keep them indoors at normal room temperature, out of direct sun and away from heaters, and pull them oldest-first as machines call for toner. A simple rule used by many offices: when the second-to-last cartridge goes into a machine, place the next order.
Does buying in bulk change my warranty coverage?
No — every cartridge in this set carries the same one-year warranty as a single, and returns remain free for a full year; the policy is published on our shipping & returns page. If one unit out of five ever disappoints, support (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST) will deal with that unit alone. Your other four stay on the shelf, working as your reserve.
How fast can a set this size be delivered?
We ship from four regional warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California — so most orders travel a short distance and arrive quickly, with tracking sent on dispatch. For a stockroom resupply, order when your reserve hits your reorder point rather than when a machine is already down. Planning one delivery ahead is the entire logic of buying five at a time.
