Frequently Asked Questions

We are setting up a C4500 in a second office — is a full four-color set the right first order?

Usually, yes. A machine arriving with unknown or mixed toner levels starts cleanly when all four cartridges are fresh and age together, and one order covers the office for months. The set also costs less than the same four cartridges bought individually, which suits a setup budget.

The black is rated 33,000 pages but the colors only 22,500 — how do we plan around that gap?

Expect the colors to need attention first in color-heavy offices, while text-heavy offices may still finish a color before the black despite the lower rating. Either way, the machine reports each cartridge separately, so you simply reorder whichever color calls first and keep the set's remaining cartridges working.

The title names the C4500 — is this set limited to that single model?

No. The set is titled for the C4500, but all four cartridges belong to the Ricoh IM C4500 and IM C6000 platform and fit every machine in that family. The four cartridges in the box are the standard supplies for the platform, not a model-specific variant.

How much total printing does this set put on the shelf, black versus color?

The black cartridge contributes up to 33,000 pages, and each of the cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges up to 22,500 pages. In practice that is a deep reserve for a department machine — most offices will not think about toner again for several months after installing a set.

Does buying the set mean all four cartridges arrive and get used on the same schedule?

They arrive together, but nothing forces you to install them together. Many offices install the full set in a new machine, while others hold the box as a complete spare kit and swap cartridges individually as each one empties. Sealed cartridges store well, so the staggered approach costs you nothing.

How does the warranty treat a set — is each cartridge covered on its own?

Yes, coverage applies cartridge by cartridge. Each unit in the set carries the same one-year warranty and one-year free returns described at Shipping & Returns, so a problem with one color never means sending back the whole set. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
