Frequently Asked Questions
In a typical small office, how long will one cyan cartridge actually last?
This cyan cartridge is rated at about 6,000 pages using the standard 5% coverage measure. If your office prints a few hundred color pages a month — proposals, charts, the occasional handout — one cartridge commonly lasts the better part of a year, because most offices print far more black text than color.
My blues and greens look washed out. Could the cyan cartridge be the cause?
Very likely, yes. Cyan is the building block for blue and green tones, so when it runs low those colors fade or shift first while reds and yellows still look normal. Rock the cartridge gently side to side to redistribute the toner; if the blues come back briefly, the cartridge is near the end and a replacement should be on its way.
Is this cartridge made for just one printer model?
We will be upfront: at $83.73 for roughly 6,000 pages, the cyan share of a color page runs about 1.40 cents, which is on the higher side. This compact platform was never the cheapest way to print color — the real value is that cartridges for it are still available and the machine on your desk can keep working instead of being replaced.
Can I change only the cyan, or do all the colors have to be replaced together?
Each color on this platform is a separate cartridge in its own slot, so you only ever replace the one that is empty. Pulling healthy cartridges early just throws away toner you already paid for.
What protection do I get if this cartridge fails?
Every cartridge we sell is covered by a one-year warranty and one full year of free returns. If it fails early or arrives defective, reach our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and see our shipping and returns page for the details.
