Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I order two black cartridges when the printer only holds one?
Because the day a cartridge runs dry is never a convenient day. With this 2-pack you install one and shelve the other, so a dead cartridge becomes a two-minute swap instead of a stalled print queue while you wait on a delivery.
How much do I actually save with the 2-pack?
Two singles would cost $136.02; the pair is $117.54, so you save $18.48 and each cartridge effectively costs $58.77. That pulls your black cost per page down from about 1.05 cents to roughly 0.90 cents across the pack's 13,000 rated pages.
If my coworker's machine is a different model, can we share this pack?
Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting on the shelf?
Toner powder does not dry out the way ink does, so a sealed spare keeps well for an extended period. Store it flat, sealed, and away from heat and sunlight, and open it only when the installed cartridge is finished.
Do both cartridges have to be installed at the same time?
Not at all — the printer takes one cartridge, and the second is simply your reserve. Install the spare when the first reaches the end of its roughly 6,500-page life, whether that is next month or much later.
What if one of the two cartridges has a problem?
Each cartridge carries the same protection: a one-year warranty plus a full year of free returns. If a cartridge underperforms, reach out Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST and we will make it right; the details live on our shipping and returns page.
