Frequently Asked Questions
How long will 10,000 pages actually last in our office?
That depends entirely on your monthly volume. At 500 black pages a month, this cartridge can run close to a year and a half; at 2,000 pages a month, expect roughly five months. The 10,000-page rating assumes about 5% page coverage, so dense reports and heavy graphics will bring the real number down.
Is 0.80 cents per page a good cost for black toner?
Honestly, it is not the cheapest black page we sell — this platform's cartridges are priced higher per page than high-volume Ricoh models. At $80.18 for a rated 10,000 pages you are paying about 0.80 cents per page, and the value case here is keeping an MP C3001 or C3501 running with a correctly matched cartridge rather than chasing the lowest possible per-page figure.
Which printers does this cartridge work in?
It is made for Ricoh Aficio MP C3001 and MP C3501. The listing is titled under the 8415 name, but the honest picture is that this is one cartridge for the whole platform family — if your machine is part of that series, this is the black cartridge it takes.
When should I order the next one?
Order when the machine gives its first low-toner warning rather than waiting for pages to fade. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so most orders arrive in a few business days, but a warning-stage order removes any risk of the department sitting idle mid-job.
Can I keep a spare on the shelf, or does toner go stale?
A sealed cartridge keeps well for a long time stored flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For a single-cartridge purchase like this one, keeping one spare is a sensible buffer — just use the older cartridge first when you rotate stock.
What protection do I get if the cartridge underperforms?
Every cartridge we sell is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year as well. If a cartridge leaks, streaks or falls well short of its rating under normal use, contact us and we will replace it or refund you — the full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
