Frequently Asked Questions
The machine only holds one black cartridge — why buy two at once?
Because the second one sits sealed on the shelf until the first runs out, and that swap takes two minutes instead of two days of waiting on a delivery. For a shared departmental machine like the MP C3001 or C3501, the real cost is never the toner — it is the work that stalls when the cartridge dies at 4 PM on a deadline day.
What does the two-pack actually save?
Two singles cost $160.36 bought separately; this two-pack is $141.86, so you save $18.50 and each cartridge works out to $70.93. Across the pair's combined 20,000 rated pages, that brings your black cost down from about 0.80 cents to roughly 0.71 cents per page.
Will this fit my machine?
Yes, if your copier belongs to Ricoh Aficio MP C3001 and MP C3501. The 8415 listing name refers to this cartridge family, and the same black cartridge serves every model in that platform — there is no separate version per model.
How should I store the second cartridge?
Keep it in its sealed bag, lying flat, in a cool dry cabinet away from windows and heat sources. Toner does not expire quickly, and a cartridge stored this way will perform like a fresh one when you install it months later — just rotate so the older stock goes in first.
Do both cartridges have to go into the same machine?
No. If your office runs two machines from this platform family, splitting the pair between them is perfectly fine — each cartridge is individually sealed and individually covered. Many offices buy the two-pack precisely to feed a small fleet rather than a single copier.
What if one of the two cartridges turns out to be faulty?
Coverage applies per cartridge, not per order. Each one carries our one-year warranty and can be returned free within a year, so a problem with one does not force you to send back the good one — details are on our shipping & returns page.
