Frequently Asked Questions

My T650 prints are coming out faint — is it the cartridge or the printer?

Uniform fading across the whole page, especially after a long run of heavy printing, is the classic sign of a cartridge nearing the end of its toner. Streaks, spots, or marks that repeat at the same interval point instead to the drum or another printer part. If the output is simply getting lighter week by week, a fresh high-yield cartridge like this T650H11A is the fix.

Can I stretch a fading cartridge a little longer?

Briefly, yes. Removing the cartridge and rocking it gently side to side redistributes the remaining toner and usually restores density for a few hundred pages. Treat that as a bridge to fitting a replacement, not a solution — the yield is genuinely spent at that point.

Does this cartridge fit only the T650?

No. This listing carries the T650 name, but the T650H11A is the shared high-yield cartridge for the entire platform. It works in the following Lexmark models: T650, T650n, T650dn, T650dtn, T652, T652n, T652dn, T652dtn, T654, T654n, T654dn, T654dtn, T656dne, TS654dn and TS656dne. Any of those machines takes this exact cartridge.

What yield should I expect once it is fitted?

The cartridge is rated at 25,000 pages, which at $169.69 works out to roughly 0.68¢ per page. Dense graphics, heavy coverage, and lots of short jobs will land below the rating; plain text at standard coverage is what the rating assumes.

Is there anything to set up after installing it?

No settings or adjustments are needed. Remove the old cartridge, fit this one until it seats, and the printer is ready — the first pages should come out at full density straight away, which also confirms the fading was the old cartridge.

What if the new cartridge does not fix the print quality?

Then the cartridge was not the culprit — but you are still covered. This cartridge comes with a 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year, so you can send it back under the terms on our shipping and returns page and look at the drum next.
