Frequently Asked Questions

Is toner still being made for a printer as old as the Lexmark 1120?

Yes — and there is a simple reason: thousands of these machines are still in daily service, so the demand never went away. We stock the 12A6835 precisely because 1120 owners keep ordering it year after year. As long as your printer runs, its cartridge remains a standard, orderable item here.

Will a new cartridge print as dark as this printer did when it was younger?

A fresh cartridge restores full, even density on text and forms, which is where most "old printer" complaints actually come from. Toner does not fade with age inside a sealed box, so output quality depends on the cartridge, not the calendar. If prints stay washed out with a new cartridge installed, the printer itself may finally be wearing — but toner is the right first test.

The listing says 1120 — is that the only model this fits?

No, the 1120 is just the name on this listing. The 12A6835 is the shared cartridge across the platform: 1120 and 1125. Any of those models accepts this exact cartridge, so a spare bought for the 1120 can serve a sibling machine too.

What does the 20,000-page rating mean in real office use?

It is measured at roughly 5% page coverage — normal letters, invoices and reports. A small office printing a few hundred pages a month may stretch one cartridge across several years, while graphics-heavy pages consume it faster. Either way, at $117.91 the running cost lands near 0.59 cents per rated page.

What happens if the cartridge I receive has a problem?

Tell us and we make it right: the cartridge is covered for twelve months, and returns cost you nothing during the first year. Start from our shipping and returns page and the exchange is straightforward. A real person on our support team can help Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

My 1120 shows a low-toner warning but pages still look fine — swap now or wait?

Wait, but be ready. The warning is an estimate, and most cartridges print cleanly for a while after it appears; swapping early throws away good toner. Keep this cartridge within reach and change it when text visibly fades — on a shared machine, that simple habit avoids both waste and downtime.
