Frequently Asked Questions

How long will a 20,000-page cartridge actually last in our 1125?

That rating assumes standard text pages at about 5% coverage. An office printing 800 to 1,200 pages a month can expect roughly a year and a half from one cartridge, while dense reports and forms will use it up sooner. On a steady departmental machine like the 1125, most buyers find it is a fit-and-forget supply item rather than a monthly purchase.

Our prints have been coming out light — will a fresh cartridge fix that?

Gradual, even fading across the whole page is the classic sign of a cartridge running dry, and a new cartridge normally restores solid blacks immediately. If you see repeating streaks or marks in the same spot after swapping, that points to wear elsewhere in the printer rather than the toner. Swapping the cartridge first is the cheapest way to find out which problem you have.

Is this cartridge made only for the Lexmark 1125?

No. This listing names the 1125, but the 12A6835 is the shared cartridge for the whole platform: 1120 and 1125. If your office runs more than one model from that family, the same cartridge moves between them freely.

How do I know the old cartridge is truly empty and not just settling?

Watch for the low-toner warning followed by pages that fade toward one side. Removing the cartridge and rocking it gently side to side redistributes the remaining toner and usually buys a few dozen extra pages. Once fading returns after a shake, the cartridge is genuinely finished.

What protection do I get with a compatible cartridge?

Every cartridge we sell carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year if anything goes wrong. The steps are laid out on our shipping and returns page, and our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

How quickly will my cartridge arrive?

Orders ship from the closest of our four warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so most addresses see delivery in a few business days. Because the 1125 usually feeds a whole workgroup, we recommend ordering when the low-toner warning first appears rather than when pages start fading.
