Frequently Asked Questions

Which cartridge is yellow on the M2255nw?

The W2112A, the '2' code in the 206A family. The HP Color LaserJet Pro M2255nw's four cartridges are independent, and yellow is the one whose failure owners most often misread — its symptoms look like a general colour problem rather than a missing colour.

Why does everything from the M2255nw look cold and bluish?

Because yellow has run out. Yellow warms the whole palette and partners cyan in every green; without it, greens go blue, highlights go grey and pages feel cold. Owners often order cyan by mistake — but a supplies status page will show yellow, not cyan, at the bottom. Fit this W2112A and the warmth returns.

How long will the replacement last?

It is rated at 1,250 pages at 5% coverage. On a compact printer like the M2255nw, yellow's life depends heavily on what is printed: highlight-heavy documents and warm-toned images use it steadily, while plain correspondence barely touches it. Either way it is replaced on its own schedule, independent of the other colours.

Is the swap something I can do between jobs?

Yes — under two minutes, no tools, no settings. Drawer, old yellow out, new cartridge in, test page. The M2255nw shares its cartridge handling with the Color LaserJet Pro M255dw and M283 family, all designed for exactly this kind of user swap.

What am I covered for?

The $69.51 price includes a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns: bad colour, leaks or a refusal by the printer all qualify for replacement or refund. Orders ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Should the spare live next to the printer?

Ideally, yes — a sealed cartridge stored flat near the M2255nw means the person who spots the cold-looking prints can fix them on the spot. The shipping and returns page sets out delivery times for the next spare and how returns are handled.

About This M2255nw Yellow Cartridge

This W2112A yellow cartridge is the quiet fix for an M2255nw whose output has turned cold: 1,250 rated pages at $69.51, fitted alone in a couple of minutes. When greens have gone blue and every page looks faintly wintery, yellow — not the printer, and not cyan — is where the problem lives.
