Frequently Asked Questions

• What is in this set of 9?

The box holds: F6U19AN (2,000 pages), L0S61AN (1,450 pages), L0S64AN (1,450 pages), L0S67AN (1,450 pages). Each cartridge is individually sealed.

• Which printers does this set fit?

The set fits OfficeJet 8702, OfficeJet Pro 7720, OfficeJet Pro 7730, OfficeJet Pro 7740 and 10 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page.

• Is there a black with an even higher yield than the 952XL?

Yes — the HP 956XL (about 3,000 pages), but only for six models: OfficeJet Pro 7740, 8216, 8720, 8725, 8730 and 8740. If yours is not among them, this 952XL black is the highest-yield black that fits.

• Do all the cartridges have chips?

Yes. Every cartridge in the set carries a new compatible chip that reports its own ink level to the printer.

• Is the set better value than singles?

Yes — the set is priced below the same cartridges bought one by one, and one box restocks every slot at once. Check the per-cartridge yields above against your usage.

• Can I install just one cartridge from the set?

Yes. Open and install only the colour the printer asks for, and keep the rest sealed — they store fine for when their turn comes.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

Acknowledge the message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer. Most warnings are a one-time notice that a non-original cartridge was fitted. This family runs HP dynamic security: the printer checks the cartridge chip, and HP firmware updates can change what is accepted. Our cartridges carry a new compatible chip built for these models; if a future HP firmware update ever blocks a cartridge, the lifetime warranty covers you — contact us and we will put it right.

• Is this an original HP set?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the original HP specifications and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP.

• Which yield figures are the right ones for 952?

HP's own printer pages and cartridge pages once differed; the cartridge product data — 952 at about 900/630 pages and 952XL at about 2,000/1,450 — is the set we use, and the set printed on our boxes.

• What if one cartridge in the set is faulty?

Contact us with the colour and the problem — the lifetime warranty covers each cartridge in the set individually, so a single faulty cartridge is replaced on its own.

• Which cartridge in the set runs out first?

It depends on what you print: text-heavy use drains the black first, photo and graphics work drains the colours. Each cartridge reports its own level, and the spares from this set store sealed until their slot asks for them.

• How should I store the unopened cartridges?

Sealed, upright and at room temperature, away from sunlight. Install each cartridge only when the printer asks for that colour.
