Frequently Asked Questions

• How many pages does the HP F6U19AN print?

HP rates the F6U19AN at about 2,000 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 test conditions, printing standard pages at around 5% coverage. Your own count will move with coverage, paper and settings — dense colour pages use far more ink than plain text.

• Which printers take the F6U19AN?

It fits OfficeJet 8702, OfficeJet Pro 7720, OfficeJet Pro 7730, OfficeJet Pro 7740 and 10 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page — check your model there before ordering.

• Is there a black with an even higher yield than the 952XL?

Yes — the HP 956XL (about 3,000 pages), but only for six models: OfficeJet Pro 7740, 8216, 8720, 8725, 8730 and 8740. If yours is not among them, this 952XL black is the highest-yield black that fits.

• Standard or XL — which should I buy?

This is the high-yield version, rated at about 2,000 pages. It costs more up front than the standard cartridge and far less per printed page, so it is the right pick for regular printing; the standard size suits a printer that only runs occasionally.

• Is the F6U19AN pigment or dye ink?

It is pigment ink — the same ink technology HP uses in the original F6U19AN — so text stays sharp and resists water and highlighter smear.

• Does this cartridge have a chip?

Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

Acknowledge the on-screen message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart the printer. If the warning persists, wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and reinstall. This family runs HP dynamic security: the printer checks the cartridge chip, and HP firmware updates can change what is accepted. Our cartridges carry a new compatible chip built for these models; if a future HP firmware update ever blocks a cartridge, the lifetime warranty covers you — contact us and we will put it right.

• Can I mix this cartridge with original HP cartridges?

Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colours (or the other way round) prints normally.

• Which yield figures are the right ones for 952?

HP's own printer pages and cartridge pages once differed; the cartridge product data — 952 at about 900/630 pages and 952XL at about 2,000/1,450 — is the set we use, and the set printed on our boxes.

• Is this an original HP cartridge?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the F6U19AN specification and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP; the HP name appears only to identify the printers it fits.

• What if the cartridge leaks, is not recognised or prints badly?

Stop and contact us — do not keep printing on a faulty cartridge. The lifetime warranty covers recognition failures, leaks and print-quality defects: we replace the cartridge or refund you.

• Need the other colours too?

The full set and the other single colours are linked under the family list on this page, so you can match this cartridge with its matching set.
