• How many pages does the HP N9K04AN print?

• Standard or XL — which should I buy?

  This is the high-yield version, rated at about 300 pages. It costs more up front than the standard cartridge and far less per printed page, so it is the right pick for regular printing; the standard size suits a printer that only runs occasionally.

• Is the N9K04AN pigment or dye ink?

  It is pigment ink — the same ink technology HP uses in the original N9K04AN — so text stays sharp and resists water and highlighter smear.

• Does this cartridge have a chip?

  Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

  Acknowledge the on-screen message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart the printer. If the warning persists, wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and reinstall.

• My box says 63/65 — is this the same cartridge?

  Combined 63/65 retail cartridges exist, and HP rates them lower (about 300 pages) than the standalone 65 ratings. This cartridge is the standalone HP 65 version at the ratings shown above; it fits the same printers the 65 was sold for.

• Can I mix this cartridge with original HP cartridges?

  Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colours (or the other way round) prints normally.

• Is this an original HP cartridge?

• What if the cartridge leaks, is not recognised or prints badly?
