ENVY 5014

HP ENVY 5014 printer

The HP ENVY 5014 prints with the HP 65 ink family. Original HP codes for this family: N9K04AN, N9K03AN, with rated yields from about 300 to about 300 pages. Every Clever Supplies cartridge below is a compatible built to the original specification — same fit, same rated yield, lifetime warranty — and this page lists exactly which ones the ENVY 5014 takes.

Cartridge	Colour	Approx. yield
N9K04AN	Black	300 pages
N9K03AN	Tri-color	300 pages

Printers like the ENVY 5014 carry their printheads inside the cartridges, so every cartridge change is also a printhead renewal. That design makes these machines forgiving of age and irregular use — a dried-out head is replaced, not repaired — and it makes the quality of the cartridge you buy the single biggest factor in how the printer prints.

Which HP 65 ink should you buy?

65XL Black (N9K04AN) — $25.49 — the everyday text workhorse — high yield, lowest cost per page
65XL Tri-color (N9K03AN) — $28.49 — all three colours in one cartridge — high yield, lowest cost per page
65XL Set of 2 — $49.47 — full restock in one box — best total value
65XL Set of 5 — $119.93 — full restock in one box — best total value

The cartridge carries a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer. If a firmware update ever causes a recognition warning, reseating the cartridge and restarting the printer clears most false alarms; anything that still refuses to print is covered by the lifetime warranty.
